David Horowitz

NEW YORK CITY—Colliers International has brought on a regional director of its project management Northeast group here. The hire, David Horowitz, has more than 30 years of real estate project management experience.

Most recently, he spent 12 years at JLL, where he ended as regional and managing director, with responsibility for oversight of all project management for the JPMorgan Chase corporate account.

He also provided platform leadership for other clients including HSBC, Fidelity, Deutsche Bank, Verizon and Merck. Before that, he held senior positions at Quartararo & Associates, Constructive (UK) Limited, American Express and Nico Construction Co., among other firms.

At Colliers, Horowitz will dedicate his time to growing the firm's project management services for corporate clients in the corridor from Metro Washington, DC to New England, with special focus on complex projects for commercial occupiers.

“Colliers is in growth mode in the New York and Northeast markets, and project management is an area we've targeted for more depth,” comments Jonathan Winikur, Executive Managing Director of Colliers' Northeast Project Management group. “David's expertise will enhance our ability to serve the needs of corporate entities, not-for-profit organizations, educational institutions and other occupiers with large, multifaceted real estate footprints and portfolios.”

Horowitz' hiring builds on Collier's acquisition of Strategic Building Solutions and Gorton and Partners earlier this year. Clients are expected to benefit from Horowitz' experience in regional project management, real estate and facility operations, resource modeling, project management technology, principal contracting, and project risk assessment, as well as his ability to envision and lead projects that fulfill strategic objectives for growth and development.

“Reducing spending on real estate remains a priority for most occupiers, and opportunities abound for qualified project management firms to act as outsourced resources. I'm excited to work with my new colleagues at Colliers to create strategies that strengthen existing client relationships and retain new business,” adds Horowitz.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed post graduate work in construction management and business administration at Long Island University and New York University. Horowitiz is a member of the Project Management Institute.
