Rob Ward is COO, a new position at the company

WASHINGTON, DC–Skanska USA Commercial Development has reshuffled its executive bench and created the position of chief operating officer.

Skanska has also invested in marketing and tech and design talent. “As our business matures, it is imperative that we provide our teams with world-class resources and technology to continue to deliver the most sustainable properties with offerings that our customers and investors want,” CEO Shawn Hurley says in a prepared statement.

The changes include:

Robert Ward will move into the newly created position of COO. He will also join the company's Deal Review Committee.

Mark Carroll will replace Ward as the new EVP for development operations for Washington DC. Since joining Skanska seven years ago, Carroll has been involved in most of Skanska Commercial Development projects in DC.

Matt Damborsky will take over as the new EVP of the Houston market.

Christopher Westley joins the company as Vice President of Marketing. For the past 7 years, Westley operated a national real estate consultancy based in Los Angeles.

Ryan Salvas joins the company as the Director of Innovation, with a focus on relevant technologies and methodologies. Prior to joining Skanska, Salvas was Design Director at CW Keller + Associates.

Jason Timmerman has been promoted to Director of Environmental, Health & Safety, a position that focuses on the safety function.
