MIAMI—Crocker Partners appointed Angelo Bianco to managing partner for the real estate investment and development firm. A partner and senior executive with Crocker since 2001, he takes the helm of a company with a $2 billion portfolio of 8.6 million square feet of class A office and mixed-use properties in the southeast US.
“We expect continued improvement in South Florida office market in 2017,” Bianco tells GlobeSt.com. “There is almost no new construction in the pipeline and available space has dropped significantly over the past few years. Rents have already exceeded prior peak rents in all of our markets. In 2017, I expect to see a continuation of the moderate positive net absorption we have experienced for the past few years and rent growth in all markets, especially our urban core markets.”
Most recently, Bianco managed Crocker's capital markets activities and investor relations, and directed operations in Florida and Texas, including acquisition and development opportunities, asset management, property management and leasing functions. He joined the Crocker organization as a senior vice president at CRT Properties. He was responsible for acquisition of properties totaling 2.1 million square feet and for managing the company's Florida assets, comprised of ten office centers with 77 buildings.
“Angelo has played a lead role in Crocker Partners' growth and success, building a solid foundation for the future,” founding partner Tom Crocker. “Along with real estate expertise, he brings the vision and creativity to make the most of our opportunities.”
In addition to being a significant office landlord in markets including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Orlando, and Jacksonville, FL, and Atlanta, Crocker has several active development projects. While Bianco guides day-to- day operations, Crocker will continue to be active in the company's strategic direction and investment decisions.
Previously, Bianco was counsel for Tishman Speyer Properties concentrating on the redevelopment of Rockefeller Center in New York City. He began his career as a real estate attorney with Bachner, Tally, Polevoy & Mishner and subsequently became a partner at Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C., a New York-based law firm where he specialized in real estate.
Bianco was admitted to the State Bar of New York in 1994. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the George Washington University.
