Sentinel Square II

WASHINGTON, DC–Sentinel Square II, a 280,000-square foot office building in NoMA that is located at 1050 First St., NE, is leasing up some large blocks of space. It just announced that the District's Department of General Services has signed a lease for 164,110 square feet for its Office of State Superintendent of Education and Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking. This follows the Federal Election Commission 100,000-square foot long-term lease that it signed last year.

The building is owned by Trammell Crow Co. and joint venture partners, Cottonwood Partners and a subsidiary of a private real estate fund advised by Crow Holdings Capital – Real Estate. It is part of the partnership's 1.3-million square foot, multi-phase office development in NoMa.

This last transaction culminates nearly 750,000 square feet of leasing in the Sentinel Square development for the fourth quarter of 2016, according to a prepared statement by Thomas Finan, a Managing Director in Trammell Crow Co.'s Mid-Atlantic office. Now the building is now almost 95% leased, he said.

Sheryl Ellison Ponds and Robert Cooper of DGS and Bill Quinby, Tim Foley and David Cornbrooks of Savills Studley represented the tenant in the transaction.
