1350 Ave. of the Americas

NEW YORK CITYKPMG, the global professional services company—and one of the world's big four auditors—has signed a 10-year expansion lease covering 19,517 square feet on the entire 11th floor at 1350 Ave. of the Americas.

The expansion increases KPMG's commitment at the SL Green Realty Corp.-owned property to 111,995-square feet across five floors.

CBRE's Patrick Murphy and Jamie Dennison acted on behalf of the tenant, while Howard Tenenbaum and Gary Rosen represented SL Green in-house.

The 33-story, 590,000-square-foot building is undergoing a significant capital upgrade. A new lobby will be completed shortly and new elevator cabs will follow shortly thereafter.

“We were delighted to work with KPMG in providing space for its continued growth,”  says Steven Durels, EVP and director of leasing and real property for SL Green, a REIT and the city's largest office landlord. “The transaction required consolidation of multiple tenant spaces including the relocation of two tenants within the building.”

Located on the southeast corner of West 55th Street in the Plaza District, and offering Central Park views, the building is home to the distinctive “Love” sculpture by American artist Robert Indiana.

SL Green could not be reached at press time.
