IRVINE, CA—CoreLogic's board of directors has named COO Frank Martell as the company's president and CEO, effective immediately. He succeeds Anand Nallathambi, who passed away this past Thursday after a brief illness. Martell had served as acting president and CEO since Nallathambi took a medical leave of absence from the information and analytics provider in mid-February.
Martell joined CoreLogic as CFO in 2011 and became its COO in 2014. Board chairman Paul Folino notes that Martell worked closely alongside Nallathambi for the past six years “as the company executed an aggressive growth strategy to transform CoreLogic into a global leader in residential property-related data-driven insights in the US, Australia and New Zealand.”
Folino says Martell is “a proven leader with a track record of delivering exceptional operating and financial performance. He is well-known and respected by the company's employees, clients and investors and I believe his intimate knowledge and extensive experience with the company make him uniquely qualified to lead CoreLogic.”
Before joining CoreLogic, Martell was president and CEO of the Western Institutional Review Board, and prior to that was CFO of Advantage Sales and Marketing and Information Services Group Inc. From 1996 to 2006, he held various leadership positions at ACNielsen Corp. including VP and treasurer; COO and president of Asia Pacific & emerging markets; EVP of the marketing information group; and COO of ACNielsen and president Europe, Middle East & Africa.
Folino expresses “deep sorrow” on behalf of the CoreLogic board and the company's employees in announcing Nallathambi's passing after a brief illness. “Anand led CoreLogic from its inception as a public company in June 2010 to a high-performing leader in the housing market. Anand was an outstanding leader, and we will miss his many talents, energy and can-do spirit. Our thoughts are with Anand's family and friends.”
Martell says Nallathambi “led the transformation of CoreLogic into a leader in the global housing ecosystem. He was one of those extraordinary people that everyone loved and wanted to be around.” Nallathambi, 55, is survived by his wife and two children.
