ATLANTA—Emerson Buckhead is making headlines. JPX Works is at the helm of the project, located at 2520 Peachtree Road and is bullish on its market impacts.

The 21-story property will feature 41 two- to three-bedroom units ranging from 2,200 square feet to 3,700 square feet. The development is being promoted as the “architecture of tomorrow's Atlanta” and highlights the importance of Atlanta's ascendency into becoming the next gateway city.

GlobeSt.com caught up with Bruce Fernald at JPX Works to get his thoughts on the project and its impact on Atlanta in part one of this exclusive interview. Stay tuned for part two, in which he will discuss how the landscape and future growth of Atlanta through current developments.

GlobeSt.com: How will Emerson support the growth of Atlanta

Fernald: Emerson is the first large, upscale new condominium project of architectural significance to be developed in Atlanta's prestigious Buckhead neighborhood in seven years.

Atlanta is on the ascendancy towards becoming the next gateway city in the US as evidenced by the growth of Fortune 500 companies headquartered in the city, landmark corporate relocations and expansions including State Farm, Porsche Cars North America and Mercedes-Benz USA, and the explosive growth of Atlanta's high-tech sector.

The well-diversified Atlanta metro economy is the tenth-largest in the US and the largest in the South. With Atlanta's population expected to grow by 2.5 million over the next decade, high profile projects such as Emerson will support Atlanta's growth by providing world-class architecture that will attract some of Atlanta's most successful residents and set a new benchmark for what's possible in terms of commercial architectural design.

GlobeSt.com: What specific design and architectural features differentiate Emerson from various competitors in the area?

Fernald: The iconic three-tower, glass building offers an elevated level of architecture that the city has not seen before. Emerson's floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive balconies evoke a feeling of living in the sky and provide breathtaking 270-degree views of the city from each residential unit. Emerson's homes offer gracious, relaxed floor plans with open living and entertaining spaces – perfect for families, empty nesters and single homebuyers alike. The property will offer best-in-class amenities typically only found within a five-star hotel, including a heated lap pool; a private yoga and Pilates studio; an intimate spa; and a fully staffed-lobby with a concierge and a 24/7 front desk attendant.
