Andrew J. Georgelakos

BALTIMORE, MD–KLNB is searching for a new managing partner as Andrew J. Georgelakos, principal and managing partner gets set to retire on June 30, 2017 after 31 years at the firm.

The search is being led by KLNB's succession committee and is focusing in the D.C./Northern Virginia region.

Georgelakos joined KLNB in 1985 as a broker and was named interim managing partner in 2000. KLNB had its two most successful years in 2015 and 2016 under Georgelakos, when it hit nearly $1.5 billion in annual transaction volume for both years.

“We end each year debt-free, with the ability to reward those shareholders with the profit,” he said in a prepared statement. “The success of our company is fueled by employees who own the company.”

Separately, last week KLNB announced it elected Jennifer Price as a principal of the firm. Price is the firm's expert in high-street retail and urban-mixed use development and has represented such projects as the Asana Partners Portfolio, in Alexandria, Va.; Harbor Point, in Baltimore, and Jamestown's Ballston Exchange, in Ballston, Va.

Price has also been developing a niche in representing independent, woman-owned businesses, helping them scale their locations across multiple markets. She has worked with specialty woman-owned restaurants and retailers such as Chaia, Follain and Varnish Lane.
