Michael Stimler

NEW YORK CITY—Greysteel has opened its first office here, in Brooklyn Heights, to accommodate the firm's growth throughout the Mid-Atlantic, GlobeSt.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY.

In conjunction with the office opening, Greysteel has hired Michael Stimler as a senior investment associate and founding member of the New York investment sales division. He formerly was with Marcus & Millichap's New York Multifamily group, where he served as a investment sales associate.

At MMI, he oversaw the strategic vision of the team's expansion and growth into new markets in addition to day-to-day responsibilities of deal execution. He reportedly was paramount in generating transactions within Brooklyn.

At Greeysteel, Stimler is charged with arranging sales and financing for private client, middle market, and institutional multifamily properties in New York, with a particular focus on Brooklyn.

“Expanding into New York has been something we have considered for a long time,” says Greysteel president & CEO, Ari Firoozabadi. “But we needed the right team in place to do it, which we now have with Michael at the helm.”

He continues, “I am very optimistic about our presence in New York, as evidenced by the immediate, positive response we've received from owners we have been speaking with.”

Adds Stimler, ”I look forward to leveraging Greysteel's innovative marketing and research solutions to optimize value and shorten the marketing timeline for my clients,” adds Stimler. “Additionally, the integrated capital solutions approach employed by Greysteel will enable me to better serve apartment owners and investors' needs.”

Stimler and Firoozabadi will co-lead the new office.
