NEW YORK CITY—Tenant representation veteran Mark Jaccom, who has spearheaded Cresa's office here since 2012 as president and managing principal, has left the firm to join JRT Realty Group as vice chairman.
The real estate executive of nearly 40 years wasn't alone in his migration. From Cresa, JRT also has picked up former New York Giants great Howard Cross as executive managing director, Peter Brestovan as senior managing director, Jonathan Ortiz as managing director, and Kevin Kennelly as associate.
Prior to his time at Cresa—which industry publications describe as struggling, though GlobeSt.com could not confirm that at press time—Jaccom served as CEO of Colliers here, and was vice chairman & principal of Studley.
Throughout his career, Jaccom has arranged millions of square feet of leasing on behalf of numerous corporate tenants, including Colgate-Palmolive, Charles Schwab, Oppenheimer Funds, Bank United, Citibank, Willis, GFK, Cigna, Aetna Insurance, Affinity Healthplan, YearUp, Tzell Travel, CMP Publications, Wiley & Sons and Robert A.M. Stern, among others.
At JRT, Jaccom will focus on expanding the tenant representation practice both locally and globally. The firm has a strategic alliance with Cushman & Wakefield.
“Mark is an old friend and one of the industry's most dynamic dealmakers,” says Jodi Pulice, Founder & CEO of JRT. “We are thrilled to bring Mark to JRT, where he can thrive as a tenant rep broker and I can focus more of my energies on taking our M/WBE platform to the next level.”
Adds Jaccom, “I've had great success managing the New York operations of several national and global brokerage firms, but in my heart I've always been a broker, and have been looking to put my management hat aside and return to the part of the business I love best.”
He continues, “Jodi and her team have done a great job over the years, and are a great fit for me at this stage of my career. I look forward to expanding the roster of tenants we represent at JRT both here and throughout the world with our strategic alliance partner, Cushman & Wakefield.”
