silvio petriello

NEW YORK CITY—CBRE Group has promoted Silvio Petriello, a 17-year veteran of the firm, to vice chairman. The role is nationally focused, the firm tells GlobeSt.com.
Said to have a client-first attitude that has solidified many strong partnerships, Petriello has consistently been recognized as a top producer within CBRE. His client roster features a notable list of financial service firms.
Previously EVP, Petriello reportedly has established himself as a creative dealmaker, a strategic thinker and an aggressive negotiator. Throughout his career, he has partnered with a high volume of clients in the financial services industry, particularly private equity firms, hedge funds and other alternative investment firms.
Petriello's recent transactions include several complex and innovative deals. He restructured and renewed L-3 Communications' 90,000-square-foot headquarters lease at 600 Third Ave. for a 15-year term. Petriello also completed 130,000 square feet of transactions for Alix Partners, a former portfolio investment of client CVC Capital Partners—relocating the company to a 65,000-square-foot, 13-year sublease at 909 Third Ave. and subleasing its 65,000 square feet of space at 40 W. 57th St. for the remaining nine-year term, achieving significant savings.

Additionally, Petriello represented Norges Bank in its 32,000-square-foot expansion and renewal at 505 Fifth Ave., tripling the size of the firm's headquarters here.
“Being named vice chairman is a pinnacle of achievement at CBRE,” declares Matthew Van Buren, president, CBRE Northeast division. “A well-deserved distinction, the honor highlights Silvio's abundant creativity and steadfast determination, and recognizes his many years of commitment to the firm and his clients.”
