University Heights Neighborhood Transformation Continues as Seven New Retailers Join Newark's Springfield Avenue Marketplace

NEWARK, NJ—Since opening in September 2015, Springfield Avenue Marketplace has attracted new residents, while bringing shopping options that have increased the neighborhood's desirability.

NEWARK, NJ—Tucker Development’s vision for creating a vibrant and diverse shopping destination in Newark’s University Heights neighborhood continued to take shape today, as the company announced the addition of seven retailers to the growing mix of tenants at Springfield Avenue Marketplace.

The mixed-use development, which is anchored by a highly successful ShopRite that opened in Fall 2015, has re-energized University Heights and the surrounding area with 115,000 square feet of new retail space, and a 152-unit luxury apartment building known as 24 Jones.
