PHILADELPHIA—Cushman & Wakefield named James Adams managing director of Project & Development Services for its Pennsylvania operations. Based in Philadelphia, Adams is responsible for growing the commercial real estate services firm's PDS business in the region, including establishing and executing strategic direction, expanding services and developing new business.
Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Adams was managing director of PDS and Construction Services with Jones Lang LaSalle.
“Jim brings over 19 years of construction and project management expertise spanning the corporate office, industrial, higher education, life sciences and retail sectors,” says Michael P. McCurdy, managing principal for Cushman & Wakefield. “We are confident that he will provide strong leadership, direction and support as we advance Cushman & Wakefield's regional growth objectives.”
Throughout his career, Adams has provided operational and management oversight on projects varying in size up to $110 million. He has overseen complex projects with numerous clients within the corporate office, life sciences, higher education, institutional, and retail sectors.

“Our project and construction management capabilities will span most types of projects, including new construction, renovation, tenant improvements, infrastructure, capital improvements, asset repositioning and adaptive reuse,” says Adams. “I look forward to working closely with our firm's other service lines to seamlessly provide a full spectrum of real estate services to clients.”
Adams is a LEED-accredited professional, a member of the US Green Building Council and is certified in photovoltaic system installation and ASHRAE system design. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University.
