NEW YORK CITY—Real estate development firm Trinity Financial's A. Philip Randolph Houses has received historic preservation awards from the Preservation League of New York State and the New York Landmarks Conservancy.

Trinity Financial, which has offices in New York City and Boston, reports it's A. Philip Randolph Houses project in Harlem received the Excellence in Historic Preservation Award from the Preservation League of New York State yesterday at a ceremony at the New York Yacht Club. The firm is scheduled to receive a Lucy G. Moses Preservation Project Award from the New York Landmarks Conservancy tonight at an awards program to be held at the New York Public Library.

The A. Philip Randolph Houses project was one of four projects in New York City to secure the preservation award from the Preservation League of New York State. The other honorees were: the Beekman Hotel and Residences/Temple Court, the South Street Museum: the 1865 sailing ship Wavertree and the Rogue Tomate Chelsea.

Once slated for demolition, Trinity took on the Randolph Houses project along with partners West Harlem Group Assistance and with the financial assistance from the New York City Housing Authority, New York City Housing Preservation & Development, New York City Housing Development Corporation and Enterprise Community Investment, Inc. Trinity and its partners successfully rehabilitated the 22 (of 36) five-story Old Law tenement buildings that make up the first phase of the development.
