BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, TX—Phase one of Century Square is anticipated to be complete in fall 2017. The mixed-use project features 60 acres of retail and restaurant establishments, entertainment venues, 60,000 square feet of class-A office space and two full-service hotels.
The George has an anticipated opening in mid-2017 and Cavalry Court opened in November 2016. The apartment homes of 100 Park also opened November of last year.
“Century Square is a regional mixed-use destination offering a full range of complementary experiences, from dining and shopping, to two high-end boutique hotels with conference and event spaces, class-A office, upscale apartments for residents age 21-and-up, a dine-in cinema, urgent care clinic and entertainment focused around an actively programmed central green space,” Jonathan Brinsden, CEO of Midway, tells GlobeSt.com. “This blend of experiences and offerings creates a unique destination for the Brazos Valley.”
Several new tenants will soon open locations in Century Square. The addition of these new tenants marks several firsts for the project, according to Midway.
Local boutique Merge is the first locally owned business. In addition, fast casual restaurant Piada Italian Street Food, specialty candy store Hey Sugar, frozen dessert concept Sub Zero and group workout concept Orangetheory Fitness are all opening what will be first locations within the city footprint.
“Leasing momentum at Century Square continues with these five new and diverse tenant offerings,” says Brinsden. “Our goal for this project is to create an exceptional destination where visitors and residents can shop, live, work and dine, while also fostering a sense of community.”
Orangetheory Fitness will occupy 3,828 square feet of space fronting University Drive. Piada will occupy 2,408 square feet of restaurant space, also fronting University Drive. College Station favorite, Merge boutique, will occupy 1,786 square feet of retail space at Century Square fronting University Drive. Hey Sugar's third Texas location will have 1,495 square feet of space there and Sub Zero is opening its 12th store in Texas once the Century Square location is operational.
Previously announced Century Square tenants include Berryhill Baja Grill, Blaze Pizza, Hopdoddy, Mo's Irish Pub, Neighbors Emergency Center, Star Cinema Grill, Tiff's Treats and Zoës Kitchen.
Century Square is a community center and a public-private collaboration between Midway and Texas A&M University System utilizing previously undeveloped land to deliver amenities for local residents and the Brazos Valley region.
