West Loop Getting Another Tech Firm

300 S. Riverside lost its anchor tenant last fall, but a few tech firms have moved in to fill at least some of the space.

CHICAGO—The city’s downtown continues to be a big draw for high-tech firms. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Downers Grove, IL-based Microsystems just announced this week that the company will relocate its global headquarters to Riverside Plaza, 300 S. Riverside Plaza.

Company officials said the West Loop location will be more convenient for employees and facilitate better client service through its proximity to major business events, conferences, client offices, cultural centers and transportation. The company expects to add nearly 100 new jobs by the end of 2018.
