TYSONS, VA–A source has told GlobeSt.com that Rockpoint Group is acquiring another building in the Tysons submarket, following its acquisition of Tysons Dulles Plaza. The pending deal is for Tysons International Plaza, a two-building, 471,367-square foot property that is about 83% occupied. The contract price is $132 million approximately, or $280 per square foot. The seller is Tishman Speyer.

Rockpoint declined to comment to our inquiry and Tishman Speyer did not return a request for comment in time for publication. We will update the story if there is a response.

Earlier this month Rockpoint closed on Tysons Dulles Plaza for $130.3 million. The seller was KBS Real Estate Investment Trust. The last time Tysons Dulles Plaza traded was in 2008 when Vornado Realty Trust sold it for $152.8 million.

We have also learned, as we reported earlier, that Rockpoint Group is also buying the Sheraton Suites Alexandria for $54.7 million, or $221,457 per unit, according to a source. The 247-key hotel, located at 801 N St. Asaph St., last traded in 2007 for $78.6 million.
