The property will be known as the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza beginning on Aug. 30.

NEW YORK CITY— Millennium Hotels and Resorts' One UN Plaza hotel property is being rebranded beginning on Aug. 30 at the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza.

The hotel is owned by Millennium Hotels and Resorts and will be managed by Hilton beginning at the end of this month. The Manhattan property, located alongside the United Nations headquarters in Midtown East, offers 439 rooms and suites and will join the Hilton network after recently completing a $68-million renovation that began in 2012. The hotel offers approximately 7,500 square feet of meeting space.

“We are very pleased that our unique property located on the grounds of the United Nations headquarters will be managed by Hilton as Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza,” says Kwek Leng Beng, chairman of Millennium & Copthorne, Plc. “With the availability of premier accommodation and event space in Midtown Manhattan, Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza will be an ideal choice for many of the Hilton loyal guests. It is a win-win situation for both Hilton and Millennium Group. We look forward to this expanded relationship with Hilton in North America and internationally.”

The Millennium hotel will join its sister property Millennium Hilton New York Downtown at 55 Church St. across from the World Trade Center that is also managed by Hilton. Millennium Hotels and Resorts' New York City portfolio also includes the Millennium Broadway New York Times Square and the Premier Times Square by Millennium.

The deal with Millennium increases Hilton's hotel property portfolio in the New York metro region to seven.

“At Hilton, we are always looking to be in the heart of the world's top destinations that matter most to our guests and Hilton Honors members, and no city embodies this more than New York,” says David Marr, SVP and president and global head, full service brands for Hilton. “The addition of Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza brings our signature hospitality to the east side of Manhattan, and we look forward to providing exceptional guest experiences true to the Hilton brand.”
