NEW YORK CITY—Co-working and office space provider WeWork has signed a lease for 85,000 square feet at 115 Broadway in the Financial District.
The lease deal at the property, part of the 1-million-square-foot 22-story Trinity Centre complex, will have WeWork occupy the entire fourth through seventh floors at 115 Broadway that is owned by Capital Properties.
CBRE's Adam Foster, Brad Gerla, Adam Leshowitz and Mike Rizzo represented property owner Capital Properties in the transaction.
“We believe the property's central location and flexible floor design—as well as the building's unique character and charm—will be a great addition to the WeWork family,” says EVP Foster at CBRE.
CBRE notes that Trinity Centre, which was completed in 1907, has been “meticulously restored” both inside and out under the direction of Capital Properties' Richard Cohen. These renovations have transformed Trinity Centre into one of Downtown's preeminent boutique office complexes, they add.
Other creative-oriented tenants at Trinity Centre include GyroHSR, Rock Shrimp Productions, Champalimaud Design and Paperless Post.
Capital Properties, a privately owned real estate investment, development and management firm, was founded in 1977 and currently maintains a portfolio of ongoing and completed residential, hotel and commercial projects in Boston, New York and Washington, D.C.
