NEW YORK CITY—Dennis Rauchet, formerly a senior director with Colliers International's project management group, has joined JEMB Realty Corp. as the firm's senior director of development. First order of business for Rauchet will be the ground-up development of the 500,000-square-foot One Willoughby Square, reportedly the first speculative office project to break ground in Downtown Brooklyn for decades; and the redevelopment of Herald Towers, a century-old, one-million-square-foot rental building in Midtown Manhattan.
“We are delighted to have Dennis join our team,” says Joseph Jerome, president of JEMB. “With his resume and experience, he will be an asset to our company and take charge of our ongoing One Willoughby development in Brooklyn as well as Herald Towers redevelopment. We welcome him with open arms and look forward to working with him on many great new projects.”
In five years with Colliers, Rauchet consulted on projects such as the 62-story condominium tower at 45 E. 22nd St. and the renovation of the St. Regis New York hotel. He worked for Forest City New York, now the co-developer of One Willoughby, for nearly a decade; there, he managed numerous design consultants and oversaw all aspects of the construction of the New York Times Building at 620 Eighth Ave., Westchester's Ridge Hill, 2 Metro Tech and 80 DeKalb Ave. in Downtown Brooklyn,. He has also worked for Goldman Sachs and Skanska USA over the course of a commercial real estate career that began in 1995.
“I'm very excited and honored to be working with JEMB, and their diverse portfolio,” Rauchet says. “With my background in real estate project management, the opportunity felt like a perfect fit for me. I am eager to begin work on both One Willoughby and Herald Towers (and hopefully more to come).”
