IRVING, TX—According to CBRE's recent scoring tech talent report, Dallas-Fort Worth ranked as the fifth largest tech labor pool market in the country, with a total tech labor force of 161,150. After an extensive search in Atlanta, Las Vegas and Charlotte, NC, a technology-based patient care concierge company decided Dallas was indeed the best location for its headquarters.

Oculus Health signed a new lease for 27,300 square feet to relocate its headquarters from Portsmouth, NH to Las Colinas Corporate Center II, a former Microsoft office. The new headquarters, located at 6363 State Highway 161, will house 80 employees initially. The company plans to grow to 200 employees within the next year.

“We looked at locations in Atlanta, Las Vegas and Charlotte, NC, and we determined that Dallas offered the greatest tech and care management talent pool to grow our company,” said Sridhar Yerramreddy, president and CEO, Oculus Health. “We plan to more than double our number of employees in the next year and we believe we can find the highly skilled tech labor force in Dallas that we'll need.”

“Oculus chose Dallas because of the excellent business climate, low real estate costs and to be better positioned to rapidly expand the company,” said Vaughn, CBRE senior vice president. “The building and space worked perfectly for them. It was plug and play so they could be up and operational quickly. The whole process from start to finish was about 60 days, which is very fast for a headquarters relocation.”

Oculus Health currently operates in 32 states and has employees located in nine states. The headquarters relocation will consolidate three remote operations although the Portsmouth office will remain open.

“Out of all of the options that we considered, this space was absolutely the best fit. It is very unique for a corporate headquarters to relocate to an entirely new city this quickly,” Vaughn tells GlobeSt.com. “We love working with fast-growing companies and thrive in that environment. We look forward to growing with them for the foreseeable future.”

Oculus can be accessed through a participant's smartphone, tablet or computer, and combines individualized care management, patient-centered health plan, peer support and smart technology to help individuals make lifestyle changes that lead to improved care adherence with reduced risk of unplanned hospitalization. Oculus works directly with US-based physicians, group practices, hospital organizations, self-insured employers and risk-bearing health systems for availability to individuals with chronic conditions.
