LAS VEGAS—ADISA, the nation's largest trade association for the alternative and direct investment space, recently revealed the 2017 winners of the organization's A Champion of Excellence, Distinguished Service and President's awards. The awards were presented during the welcoming ceremony at the organization's 2017 Annual Conference at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

The ACE Award, the highest honor bestowed on a member by ADISA, was presented to Larry Sullivan, president of Passco Cos. The award is given to an organization or individual that has reached a pinnacle in their career and has brought credit to themselves and ADISA through distinguished accomplishments.

The Distinguished Service Award is presented to individuals and companies who have provided exceptional service to ADISA, the alternative investments industry and the overall community. The 2017 Distinguished Service Award was presented to Greg Mausz, executive vice president of Preferred Apartment Communities, and Mark Kosanke, founding partner of Concorde Financial Group.

The President's Award was presented to DFPG Investments, a full-service independent broker-dealer firm. The award is given to an individual or organization that has made outstanding contributions in their chosen field, in service in local, state or national affairs, or in support of the advancement and continued excellence of ADISA.

“ADISA is proud to honor Larry Sullivan, Greg Mausz, Mark Kosanke and DFPG Investments for their dedication and perseverance throughout the year that has led to substantial achievements for the alternative, direct investment industry,” said ADISA Executive Director and CEO John Harrison. “These recipients have all demonstrated a remarkable commitment to excellence and adhered to the highest ethical standards and quality performance, and we're pleased to present each with their respective award.”

Harrison tells GlobeSt.com that ADISA's 2017 annual conference welcomed a record attendance of more than 1,000 wealth advisors and alternative investment sponsors to Las Vegas. “In our ever-evolving industry, we are seeing the emergence of perpetual-life REITs that provide net asset value on a regular basis and a rapidly growing influx of capital to private real estate funds, including 1031 exchange programs, where demand continues to outpace supply.”

ADISA's 2017 Annual Conference & Trade Show, the nation's largest event for members of the alternative and direct investment space, has brought together approximately 1,000 of the industry's leading professionals for education, networking and the exchange of ideas.

ADISA's members are typically involved in non-traded real estate investment trusts, business development companies, master limited partnerships and private and public funds, 1031 exchange programs, energy and oil and gas interests, equipment leasing programs, or other alternative and direct investment offerings. The association was founded in 2003 and has approximately 4,500 members who are key decision makers, representing more than 220,000 professionals throughout the nation – including sponsor members who have raised in excess of $200 billion in equity and serve more than 1 million investors.
