SEATTLE—Cushman & Wakefield said Monday it had partnered with BuildingOS software provider Lucid on energy and sustainability intelligence. The collaboration will provide Cushman & Wakefield's building management team with a central platform to engage and manage energy and sustainability data.

“With this new platform, we have strengthened our ability to help clients achieve reduced operational costs and enhanced sustainability, in addition to driving occupant satisfaction and productivity,” says Steven Quick, Cushman & Wakefield's CEO for global occupier services. The partnership was unveiled at the 2017 CoreNet Global Summit in Seattle, which runs through Tuesday.

The Lucid software enables sustainability, finance, operations and energy management teams to communicate and collaborate on building operations and KPIs. Using automated utility bill management and EnergyStar reporting, these teams can evaluate the ROI of efficiency efforts and investments in real time via the Lucid tools, according to Cushman & Wakefield.

Using existing building data, BuildingOS enables Cushman & Wakefield professionals to identify operational patterns and outliers. The firm then uses this data to advise clients on ways to reduce their energy consumption and enhance building performance. The BuildingOS software can also be tailored with highly customizable dashboards and reports.

In related news, Oakland, CA-based Lucid announced last week that it had won another won a grant from the US Department of Energy to continue its sustainability research and development partnership with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, which introduced the Benchmark My Building tool this past spring. The tool gathers energy usage statistics from the DOE and EnergyStar to give the public an opportunity to see where their buildings rank in energy efficiency compared to similar structures across the country.
