Alliance Town Center

FORT WORTH—Since its inception, it is estimated that AllianceTexas has generated more than $64 billion in economic impact for the North Texas region. And, residents and visitors of Alliance Town Center, the 900-acre mixed-use development within AllianceTexas, will soon have several new dining options. Hillwood Properties broke ground this month on Parkside at Alliance Town Center, a 3.5-acre food and entertainment destination with a patio overlooking scenic Bluestem Park.

“Parkside at Alliance Town Center will be unlike any other dining destination in North Fort Worth with unobstructed views of Bluestem Park, our signature green space and a wide range of community programming,” said Mark Miller, vice president of Hillwood.

The development will launch with two new restaurants, Grub Burger Bar and Shell Shack, and additional concepts that are new to the North Fort Worth market will be announced soon. The two restaurants are expected to be completed in summer 2018.

“This development will bring in neat new concepts to Tarrant County and a deep tenant mix,” Sam Rhea, marketing manager of Hillwood, tells GlobeSt.com. “It will really be a community gathering space.”

Upon completion, Parkside at Alliance Town Center will feature a stage, seating and recreational activities such as bocce ball. These outdoor entertainment and recreational options will supplement the year-round family programming that is already taking place at Bluestem Park, while also opening up a new place for community engagement. In addition to the food and beverage options, the restaurants at Parkside at Alliance Town Center will fill the growing demand for more nightlife opportunities in North Fort Worth by offering later hours and live music.

In order to blend with the native prairieland of Bluestem Park, the development's rustic architecture and landscaping by Bennett Benner Partners will include the addition of large shade trees in community spaces and unobstructed views of the park landscape. The park is composed of 14 acres that have been restored to its native blackland prairie state by Hillwood. Created in collaboration with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and other partners, the park is home to dozens of species of native grasslands and plants, 500 native trees and shrubs, and diverse wildlife. It has become a place for community engagement with year-round wellness, recreational and educational activities for guests of all ages.

AllianceTexas is an 18,000-acre master-planned community anchored by the world's first industrial airport. It includes the Alliance Global Logistics Hub, Circle T Ranch and Alliance Town Center projects. AllianceTexas is now home to more than 470 companies, which have built more than 40 million square feet and created more than 47,500 jobs. The community also includes more than 2.6 million square feet of retail, restaurant, medical and entertainment components integrated with a variety of single-family and apartment home options.
