200 Varick

NEW YORK CITY—Omnicom Group has renewed its lease at 200 Varick St., the Hudson Square location, also well known for housing the Film Forum independent movie theater. The asking price for the 10-year lease was in the $60s per square foot.

Omnicom will continue to occupy approximately half of the 410,000 square-foot, 12-story building, remaining on the second through fourth floors, sixth floor, and the 10th through 12th floors. The advertising and communications company has been in this location for the last 25 years.

Eric Gural and Brian Steinwurtzel, the co-CEOs of GFP Real Estate, made the announcement on Tuesday. The firm was formerly known as Newmark Holdings, and has a 63-year history as an owner, operator and manager with a portfolio of more than 10 million square feet of commercial real estate in New York City. Jeffrey Gural, Eric Gural and Donna Vogel represented GFP Real Estate and Lee Feld of Feld Real Estate represented the tenant.
