The Dime The Dime Community Bank building in Williamsburg will be part of The Dime development.

NEW YORK CITY—Tavros Development Partners and Charney Construction and Development are building a large mixed-use structure that will be called The Dime. The name comes from the historic Dime Community Bank, housed in an 1864 neoclassical building, which will be at the base of the new construction.

The property, located at 208 Havemeyer St. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is near the Williamsburg Bridge, close to both the waterfront and the commercial corridor of Bedford Avenue.

The 22-story tower will comprise 177 apartments, 100,000 square feet of office space, 55,000 square feet of retail, and a parking garage. Tavros and Charney received a $150 million construction loan from Square Mile Capital Management.
