CHICAGO—Newmark Knight Frank just completed a significant expansion of its valuation and advisory practice. John Mackris, Bryan Younge, Gil Licudine, Robert Colantonio, Christopher Jarvis have joined the Chicago office, and Shawn Vetter the St. Louis office.

Bringing 21 years of experience to his role, Mackris, has joined the firm as a senior managing director and market leader for IL, MO and KS. Prior to joining NKF, he served as an executive director with Cushman & Wakefield, also serving as a Midwest leader in the firm's retail specialty practice. Throughout his career he has prepared and performed valuations and market analysis on a broad range of property types including super-regional malls, lifestyle centers, single-tenant retail, industrial, office buildings, mixed-use developments and vacant land, to name a few.

Younge, a 20-year veteran, has joined the firm as an executive managing director and national practice leader of the hospitality, gaming and leisure group. Prior to joining NKF, he served as a managing director and national practice leader of the hospitality and leisure group with Colliers International. Younge completed assignments for a wide range of property types, and also provided litigation support related to bankruptcy, special servicing, condemnation, estate planning, receivership and other court-administered issues.

Licudine joins NKF's valuation practice as a senior managing director and national leader of the firm's property tax services practice. He will lead a group of property tax professionals, MAI appraisers and valuation experts who serve the property tax needs of the firm's clients across the US. Licudine brings over 21 years of experience assisting clients in all phases of the property tax cycle. In addition to managing regional and national portfolios, he has personally filed assessment appeals in IL's Cook County and saved clients hundreds of millions of dollars in the process. Prior to joining NKF, he was a managing director with Cushman & Wakefield and Midwest regional leader of the firm's property tax practice.

Colantonio, will serve as a senior vice president and industrial property valuation leader for IL, MO and KS. Based in the firm's Chicago-O'Hare office, he will lead a staff of industrial appraiser professionals who provide valuation services in the Midwest. Prior to joining NKF, Colantonio was a senior director with Cushman & Wakefield for more than 16 years.

Jarvis joins the valuation and advisory practice as a first vice president. He brings over 20 years of experience performing valuations for all types of existing and proposed properties throughout the US, including office, industrial, retail and lodging facilities, with a particular focus on multifamily properties. Prior to joining NKF, Jarvis was a vice president with CBRE's valuation and advisory services group in Chicago for 13 years. Before CBRE, he served as a senior commercial appraiser in the Tampa office of Deloitte & Touche. Jarvis began his professional career as a staff appraiser in the St. Louis office of Arthur Andersen.

With 24 years of industry experience, Vetter has joined the firm as a senior vice president and will be based in the firm's St. Louis, Missouri office. A highly experienced appraiser, he has prepared and performed valuations and market analyses on a broad range of property types, with a focus on multifamily. Prior to joining NKF, he served as a senior appraiser with CBRE, Inc.

“Chicago and the three state Midwestern market was a critical territory for us and is one of the final 'pieces of the puzzle' of our US V&A platform,” says John Busi, president of NKF's valuation and advisory group. “This block of hires consists of three national specialty practice leaders and three seasoned regional professionals so it was obviously an impactful 'get' for us.”
