NIcholas Martin

New York City—Rudin Management Company has appointed Nicholas Martin to the newly created position of VP, external and government affairs. Martin comes from the Office of Senate Democratic Leader Charles E. Schumer, where he worked as the director of policy and economic development.

Co-chair Bill Rudin noted Martin's invaluable experience in working for US Sen. Schumer, while Martin expressed hopes of working in a position involving both business and civic responsibilities.

The Rudin family's extensive New York City portfolio includes 16 office buildings and 18 apartment buildings. With Boston Properties and WeWork, the Rudin family is developing Dock 72, a 675,000 square-foot commercial building at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. With Global Holdings, Inc., they are completing construction of Greenwich Lane, a 199-unit, large-scale, luxury condominium in the West Village.
