NEW YORK CITY—Notable deals become that way under a variety of criteria, with transaction size being only one of them. In the upcoming March/April issue, Real Estate Forum will profile some of 2017's most significant transactions and developments, and invites industry members to bring some of these deals to the editors' attention.

As such, Forum is looking beyond the big-ticket deals in major markets—although these certainly will figure prominently in the magazine's “Best of 2017” section—to transactions that illustrate innovation, complexity and creativity while making an impact on the market. A good rule of thumb for industry members to follow is to select deals that would be of interest to commercial real estate professionals outside their own markets or companies.

Between today and Thursday, Feb. 1, Forum is accepting submissions for investment sales, leasing and financing deals that closed during calendar '17; development and redevelopment projects that delivered during the calendar year; and deals involving multiple components, based on the portions that were completed in '17. The submissions must include figures on square footage (for leasing and development deals) and dollar amounts (for sales and financing transactions) along with the names and firms of all parties involved in the deals. Submissions with incomplete information will not be considered.
