Herald Plaza

MIAMI—Resorts World Miami is seeing a renaissance, so to speak. The company acquired the former Miami Herald building and has set the wheels in motion for the revitalization of the historic asset.

Resorts World Miami inked a multi-year partnership with Loud and Live to bring events to the 14.6-acre parcel that was home to the Miami Herald from 1963 to 2015. Now known as Herald Plaza, the Biscayne Bay waterfront property is located in Downtown Miami and will host a variety of special events across the lifestyle, art, music, entertainment and sports worlds, among others.

“Resorts World has been looking for the right group and the right opportunity to engage the property, and bring value to the community,” says Ray Valentino, vice president of Operations at Resorts World. “We are confident that Loud and Live, a national leader in the live events, marketing and entertainment industry, will establish the property as one of the top waterfront destinations in South Florida to host premier local, national and international events.”
