WASHINGTON, DC–The Tenant Agency and Montview TSC Realty Advisors have signed a definitive agreement to merge and create a tenant representation firm that will service Washington DC and the surrounding region. The new company will operate under The Tenant Agency brand. The staff will include more than 12 brokers along with a senior project management team and lease audit specialists.

“With the trend toward consolidation and ever larger, global real estate companies, the need for local, non-conflicted strategic expertise is becoming more apparent and appreciated by tenants,” said Scott Leachman, who will serve as a managing partner of the combined company, in a prepared statement. Leachman was a principal with the Trammell Crow Co. before leaving to found Montview after Crow's merger with CBRE.

Another principal in the new company will be Daniel Klueger, a managing partner with The Tenant Agency. Klueger, along with Samuel Buckner, Chilton Griffin, A.J. Board and Michael Alcamo, left Cresa Partners to start The Tenant Agency in 2015. “Their team is very well respected and will have an immediate impact in the DC market,” said Brendan Owen, chairman of Asset Services at Newmark Knight Frank. Another nod of approval for the merger comes from David Ritchey, executive vice president and director of Leasing with JBG Smith. “It is great for the Washington business community to see these two organizations join forces,” he says.
