Trees of Gainesville

ATLANTA—As Georgia's multifamily market continues its growth streak, another new apartment community has come to the market. Trees of Gainesville, an Earth Craft Certified, 348-unit multifamily complex, opened in Gainesville, GA.

Watkins Real Estate Group plans to build 13 multifamily buildings in the complex. The developer has completed three multifamily buildings. The remaining 10 apartment buildings should come online by the third quarter of 2018.

“Trees of Gainesville is the first new luxury project for the City of Gainesville in 12 years and will bring a much-needed multifamily housing option to serve the strong, consistent population growth,” says Jay Levy, president of Watkins Real Estate Group. “For example, the new community is located adjacent to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and will offer many employees another residential choice. Potential residents are looking for luxury finishes, various amenities and outdoor space.”

Located close to Downtown Gainesville and just 1.5 miles from Interstate 985, Trees of Gainesville is next door to Frances Meadows Aquatic Center and is close to Brenau University, Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Kubota and other companies and organizations that make up the city's thriving business community. Lake Lanier Islands, Georgia's most visited lakeside destination, is also nearby.

The Gainesville-Hall County Metropolitan Statistical Area is among the top 50 fastest growing metros in the US Total population is just under 200,000 with a daytime population in Gainesville, the county seat, exceeding 100,000 people. In 2016, Hall County governments issued more than 1,000 new single-family home permits. Gainesville processed 440 single-family home permits, the highest annual total in the city's history.

The multifamily community is located at 100 Foothills Parkway, just off Jesse Jewel Parkway in Gainesville. This mark's Watson's 19th “Trees” multifamily project. Matrix Residential is leasing and managing the property.
