ROSELAND, NJComodo CA, a cyber security solutions company, has leased 20,000 square feet for its US headquarters at 5 Becker Farm Road in Roseland, NJ. The CBRE team of Daniel F. Casey, first vice president, and Joseph A. Sarno, associate, represented the building ownership, a joint venture between Soma Capital Partners and Northlight Capital Partners, in the lease negotiations. CBRE's Remy deVarenne, senior vice president, and Kadeem Goodall-Reid, associate, acted on behalf of Comodo CA.

Comodo CA is a certificate authority generating digital security fingerprints called SSL certificates for websites. Comodo CA provides digital identity solutions for businesses of all sizes protecting their employees, customers, intellectual property and overall brand from damages caused by fraudsters impersonating people and devices.

SCP and Northlight acquired the property in 2016 and brought on Accordia Realty Ventures to oversee a significant investment, transforming 5 Becker Farm Road into one of the best-in-class office properties in the area. The capital improvements included lobby renovations, new landscaping with pavers, restroom upgrades and new energy efficient HVAC units. Totaling 118,000 square-feet, 5 Becker Farm Road offers onsite property management and nearby amenities including public transportation, daycare facilities and direct access to Interstate 280.

“Since acquiring the property, Soma and Northlight have worked diligently to make 5 Becker Farm Road into one of the most sought-after class-A office properties in Roseland, New Jersey,” says Casey. “The results speak for themselves as both existing tenants and the brokerage community has responded to the new space and building upgrades with great interest and enthusiasm.”

In addition to Comodo's commitment, law firm Carella, Byrne, Cecchi, Olstein, Brody, & Agnello renewed its lease at the property, further reaffirming its commitment to the building. The renewal followed the completion of the capital improvements at the property.
