AFC Building, Atlanta, GA

ATLANTA, GA—With the closing of the City Club of Buckhead, for the first time in 30 years 17,000 square feet of top-floor space is available for lease at AFC, Atlanta's most recognizable office building. Transwestern is handling the leasing assignment.

Located in Atlanta's financial district, AFC spans 10 acres and totals 914,774 square feet, making it the largest class A office building in Buckhead. The property's highly sought-after Peachtree Road address, visibility from GA 400, and unmatched views define this asset as a best-in-class office environment.

Transwestern's director Greg Frankum, vice president Emily Sircy, and senior property manager Alyssa McKenna will oversee the transition on behalf of ownership.

“Over the past decade, we have seen shifts in the demand and usage within the workplace environment, prompting numerous office tenants and building owners to evolve and modernize,” says Frankum. “The offering at AFC with the newly available space provides an opportunity to enhance the overall property ecosystem while ensuring seamless operations efficiently and fiscally.”

At the start of first quarter 2018, AFC began a significant capital improvement plan which included the modernization of all elevator systems; renovation of the interior atrium and exterior courtyard; and complete redesign to the common area spaces to allow for collaborative use both inside and outside of building. The gym remains open with state-of-the-art upgrades expected before the end of 2018. Besides being within walking distance to the city's finest restaurants and hotels, AFC offers on-site amenities including Athletic Club and Spa, Highland Bakery, Blue Chip Café, Buckhead Florist, SunTrust Bank and ATM, AFC Hair Salon, car detailing service, dry cleaning service, AFC Shoe Care, Buckhead MARTA Station.

“As the focal point of Atlanta's vibrant financial district, AFC attracts a high-quality workforce and boasts consistent employee satisfaction and retention,” says Frankum. “We expect interest in the top floor space to be brisk.”
