Hey Day Entertainment

DENISON, TX—​A 42,500-square-foot lease will introduce HeyDay Entertainment as an anchor at Gateway Village, a 94-acre mixed-use development in North Texas. This will be the first location in Texas for HeyDay, a family-owned active entertainment concept based in Oklahoma.

Ryan Smith, vice president of Dallas-based ​Venture Commercial Real Estate, represented the landlord, Covenant Development, in lease negotiations. The tenant was represented by Bryan Cornelius and Tim Henson with Venturetainment, the restaurant and entertainment division of Venture. Venture provides strategic market planning and site selection for restaurant and entertainment clients through this division.

“HeyDay Entertainment will feature a 16-lane bowling alley, ropes course, mini golf, bar, restaurant and more,” said Smith. “Gateway Village is gaining an anchor that will serve as an important regional entertainment hub, creating new jobs and an enhanced quality of life for the citizens of Denison and surrounding communities.”

Based in Norman, OK, HeyDay Entertainment has locations in Norman and Oklahoma City. The Denison site will be the company's third location as the entertainment retailer gains traction.

“Heyday was recently awarded the top family entertainment center in North America by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions,” Henson tells GlobeSt.com.

Denison, located 70 miles north of Dallas, serves as a retail nexus between Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Dallas. Located at the intersection of US Highway 75 and FM 691, Gateway Village is a 300,000-square-foot development that is part of is part of a 700-acre master planned community. It includes single- and multifamily homes, a Hilton Garden Inn, Texoma Medical Center and a future 65-acre sports complex.

Venture's platform includes landlord and tenant representation, property management, land sales, disposition, investment sales and development services. Venture is the DFW partner of X Team International, a network of retail real estate advisors.
