WASHINGTON, DC–Carr Properties acquired 350 Morse Street, NE at the start of the year, noting at the time that it planned to build an office and retail mixed-use building in Union Market as part of the mixed-use Market Terminal development.

Now the company has announced it has tapped Avison Young's Jonathan Wellborn, Eli Barnes, Will Stern and Greg Tomasso to lease the building, which will be called Signal House.

As it did it tipped its hand about what the building will look like and who its tenant base will be. Signal House will be a creative office, with 10-stories and 225,000 square feet of space, designed by Gensler. The building will have private terraces on half of its floors and 10-foot ceiling heights.

It will be the first ground-up office development in Union Market, Wellborn notes.
