NEW YORK CITY—Fisher Brothers has signed a new 19,871 square-foot lease with Day Pitney at 605 Third Ave. A source close to the deal tells GlobeSt.com that the asking rent was in the mid-$70s per square foot.

The law firm has 300 attorneys in 11 offices across the East Coast. Under the 10-year lease, Day Pitney will relocate its New York office from 7 Times Square to the entire 31st floor of the Midtown East skyscraper in the first quarter of 2019.

Fisher Brothers has now leased approximately 300,000 square feet of office space at 605 Third Ave. since completing its $25 million capital improvement program in early 2016.

“The newly renovated tower continues to attract the city’s premier companies that are drawn to its innovative design, top-quality office space, and high-end tenant services,” says Fisher Brothers partner Ken Fisher.

Other tenants include Informa, Univision, AECOM, David Hutcher & Citron LLP and the United Nations Population Fund.

Day Pitney was represented in the recent transaction by Ken Siegel and Chris Kraus of JLL. Fisher Brothers was represented in-house by Marc Packman and Clark Briffel, as well as by Bruce Mosler, Louis D’Avanzo, Andrew Ross, Michael Baraldi and Maria Travlos of Cushman & Wakefield.

Originally built by Fisher Brothers in 1963, the 1.1 million square-foot office tower, on Third Avenue between 39th and 40th streets, is certified LEED Gold by the US Green Building Council. The recent renovation project was designed by David Rockwell and the Rockwell Group. It included the new building entrance and lobby, which features two oversized digital glass windows, designed to function as giant kaleidoscopes and serve as public art.

In addition, Fisher Brothers recently hired the office services provider Convene to create a tenant amenity space and conference center on the seventh floor.
