MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ—Capitol Seniors Housing, a senior living investment and development firm, has opened a new assisted living and memory care community—Arbor Terrace Mountainside—in Mountainside, NJ. The $25 million, 68,000-square-foot community, at 1050 Springfield Avenue, has 79 residential suites.

Capitol Seniors Housing and The Arbor Company are proud to open the doors to a new, state-of-the-art senior living community ready to serve seniors and their families in the Mountainside area,” says Scott Stewart, managing partner of Capitol Seniors Housing. “The Borough of Mountainside is in one of the most beautiful areas of New Jersey and offers excellent quality of life amenities, which why it was recently ranked number 12 on New Jersey Monthly magazine's Top 100 Towns list.”

Designed by Meyer Senior Living Studio, Arbor Terrace Mountainside features the Second Empire style of architecture with natural stone, which is prevalent throughout the region. Inspired by nature, including nearby Echo Lake, the community's interiors feature fresh and inviting tones of blue, green and yellow complemented by beautiful artwork of local scenery and historical images.

Residents can also enjoy visiting with each other in the Whiskey Tavern, a vintage-inspired tavern with exposed wood trusses, stained millwork and oversized light fixtures. Arbor Terrace offers a selection of beautifully designed, upscale residential suites.

“We appreciate all the borough officials, neighbors, and consultants who helped us throughout the development process of Arbor Terrace Mountainside,” says Joe McElwee, principal – development, Capitol Seniors Housing. “This is a beautiful, state-of-the-art senior living community where senior adults want to live and enjoy a wonderful lifestyle experience, socialize with other residents, and enjoy the very best amenities and services they have earned and deserve.”
