FAIRBURN, GA—Industrial Outdoor Ventures, the first national real estate investment company focused exclusively on the acquisition, development and re-development of industrial service facilities, has acquired a truck and container parking facility at 7255 Brumbley Ct. in Fairburn, GA, from Midway Auto Realty, for $4.5 million.

The 23.5-acre property can host approximately 700 truck or container spots. It is in Atlanta's South Industrial Submarket along I-85, near the CSX Intermodal and many of the area's new spec developments. It is fully leased to Store My Truck, an Atlanta based company that operates 28 managed parking facilities in eight states.

“In terms of managed parking facilities, 700 spots is a substantial facility and we are pleased to welcome Store My Truck, one of the largest parking operators in the southeastern US, to the porfolio, ” says IOV CEO Tom Barbera. “Given its prime location, it's a perfect fit for our growing Atlanta presence.”

Early last year, IOV entered the Atlanta market with the acquisition of two ISFs located at 5430 Georgia Highway 85 in Forest Park, GA, and 2090 Jonesboro Rd. A in Atlanta. It added 2090 Jonesboro Rd. B and 3184 Fayetville Road SE—both in Atlanta—earlier this year.

“When it comes to moving goods across the country, Atlanta is a major hub. We will continue to seek opportunities for investment here,” says Barbera.

IOV remains in acquisition mode, seeking to acquire $100 million in assets over the next 12 to 24 months—with a five-year plan to amass more than $500 million in product type. Its portfolio currently spans the US with properties in major markets such as Denver, Dallas, Chicago and Houston – among others.
