DRA Advisors and Wicker Park Acquire Camp Creek Marketplace
The acquisition of Camp Creek marks the second investment by the DRA and WPCM venture.
ATLANTA, GA—Wicker Park Capital Management and a fund managed by DRA Advisors are acquiring Camp Creek Marketplace in East Point, GA. The 424,485 square foot shopping center is shadow-anchored by Target and Lowe’s, and includes BJ’s Wholesale Club, Marshall’s, Ross Dress for Less and T.J. Maxx. The center is located at the intersection of I-285 and Camp Creek Parkway—three miles west of Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport and nine miles southwest of downtown Atlanta. The shopping center is presently 99% occupied. Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors, an affiliate of WPCM, will manage and lease the asset.
“Camp Creek Marketplace benefits from a robust economy, a uniquely large trade area in close proximity to the busiest airport in the world and an attractive merchandising mix,” says Blake Berg, principal with WPCM. “We are thrilled to partner again with DRA Advisors and execute a business plan which we believe will generate attractive risk adjusted returns for our investment partners.”
The acquisition of Camp Creek marks the second investment by the DRA and WPCM venture. In April 2018, the venture purchased Valley Bend at Jones Farm, a 425,432 square foot shopping center located in Huntsville, AL, and anchored by Super Target, Hobby Lobby and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Crawford Square will also lease and manage this asset.
