VALDOSTA, GA—Williams Investment Company, a South Georgia hotel owner/operator, acquired the 71-guestroom Country Inn & Suites in Valdosta, GA.

HREC Investment Advisors exclusively represented the seller in this transaction, which was sold through RealINSIGHT Marketplace, an online sales platform for commercial real estate. The sale was negotiated by Monty Levy, managing director in HREC's Atlanta office, and Ketan Patel, managing director in HREC's Washington, DC, office.

“This was our first disposition engagement for RealINSIGHT Marketplace and we were delighted with how well their auction platform performed,” says Patel.

The Country Inn & Suites Valdosta is located directly off I-75, a major north – south highway connecting Valdosta to cities such as Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Detroit. Valdosta is located in south-central Georgia, 80 miles northeast of Tallahassee, 120 miles northwest of Jacksonville, and 230 miles southeast of Atlanta.

Valdosta, with a population of roughly 56,000, is the principal city of the Valdosta Metropolitan Statistical Area, which has a population of roughly 140,000. Valdosta is the commercial and medical hub in southcentral Georgia, with industries including tourism, healthcare, retail and distribution, and defense.

The hotel is near Valdosta Mall, Valdosta State University, South Georgia Medical Center, Wild Adventures Theme Park, and Moody Air Force Base.

“We were able to create a very competitive bid process and, in the end, secure a very high-quality buyer for this asset,” says Levy.
