Reports are leaking from Amazon executives about late-stage talks with various cities and real estate owners for its second headquarters.

Areas that are reportedly on the short list include Northern Virginia — Crystal City to be precise, New York City and Dallas, according to the Wall Street Journal. A decision could come as early this month.

In Crystal City, Amazon has been holding detailed discussions about how quickly employees could move there and which buildings it would occupy, according to the Washington Post. Amazon is apparently so interested in the submarket that it is engaging with the dominant landlord there, JBG Smith, according to numerous accounts.
