CHICAGO, IL—Irvine Company Office Properties has named Maggie Brophy senior leasing manager for its Chicago portfolio, which includes trophy skyscrapers One North Wacker, 300 North LaSalle and 71 South Wacker.
“Maggie’s management experience encompasses multiple tiers of tenant representation, business development and client management, ideally qualifying her for her new position,” says Greg Tait, senior leasing director, Irvine Company Office Properties. “She is poised to make an immediate and important impact on our existing high-profile portfolio in Chicago.” Brophy reports to Tait.
Brophy’s extensive real estate experience includes serving as a professional research analyst, vice president and leasing director. Before joining Irvine Company, Brophy served as a leasing director with the Telos Group, where she focused on specialized leasing assignments and oversaw the $600 million redevelopment, repositioning and leasing of Willis Tower. She was responsible for 1.3 million square feet of leasing transactions during her final two years at Telos.
She spent five years at Jones Lang LaSalle as vice president with the company’s leasing and National Investor Accounts Team in Chicago, and later in Los Angeles. She managed business development efforts with JLL’s largest investor clients including The Blackstone Group, KBS and Bentall Kennedy.
Brophy was named Office Property Representative of the Year for 2017 by the Greater Chicago Food Depository Commercial Real Estate Awards, and is a founding member and former president of the Michael Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation Young Professionals Board and currently serves on Rolfe’s Board of Directors.
“The Irvine Company represents superior and distinctive communities with three iconic downtown class A+ trophy towers in sought-after locations,” Brophy says. “I couldn’t be happier to join a team so committed to delivering exceptional quality for its customers.”
Irvine Company entered the Chicago market in 2010, when it acquired the 48-story, 1.5-million-square-foot 71 South Wacker. The tower’s elegant elliptical design offers expansive views and houses prestigious customers in hospitality, legal, financial services and technology, including IBM and the law firm of Mayer Brown.
In 2014, Irvine Company acquired 60-story 300 North LaSalle. Overlooking the Chicago River, the tower’s prime location provides access to the River North neighborhood, including the area’s finest restaurants, shops and entertainment. Current customers include Kirkland & Ellis, Chicago’s biggest law firm, and management consulting firm Boston Consulting Group.
One North Wacker, UBS Tower is situated in the heart of The Loop. Its iconic architecture coupled with modern stainless steel and glass design, make it one of the most prestigious locations in downtown Chicago.
