Stark, Campus Advantage JV to Develop New Student Housing at University of Florida
When completed, Liv+ Gainesville will be a four-story, 279,075 square foot apartment style student housing complex.
GAINESVILLE, FL—Cleveland-based Stark Enterprises and Campus Advantage of Austin, TX report they plan to develop a new 235-unit student housing property at the University of Florida here.
The new development—Liv+ Gainesville— will be the second student housing project under Stark Enterprises’ Liv+ student housing brand. The first project was Liv+ Arlington, which opened in the fall of 2018 in Arlington, TX.
When completed, Liv+ Gainesville will be a four-story, 279,075 square foot apartment style student housing complex. The property will include studios to six-bedroom, six-bathroom suites, for a total of 235 units and 618 beds. Liv+ Gainesville will be less than a half-mile from the University of Florida’s inner campus.
No development cost for the project was released.
“The Liv+ Gainesville brand is characterized by a unique ‘plus’ system of amenities,” says Ezra Stark, chief operating officer for Stark Enterprises. “Our goal is to create the kinds of student communities that promote a dynamic live/learn environment, ultimately enriching the entire college experience. We strive to transform resort style living into an approachable student housing format, offering campuses a new and unique way of living for their students.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Stark Enterprises on this development and bring our proven student housing management expertise to this community,” says Michael Orsak, SVP of investments at Campus Advantage. “We are confident that our rewarding living and learning experiences, as well as our operations excellence, programming, and integrated marketing capabilities will make a positive impact in the lives of Liv+ Gainesville’s future residents.”
The Liv + Gainesville project is set to begin construction in the fourth quarter of 2018, with a completion date in the fall semester of 2020.
