Elliot M. Shirwo is the founder and principal of BridgeCore Capital Inc.

New York-based Casco Capital Management LP, a global private investment firm that plans to manage a real estate debt and equity fund, revealed that Los Angeles-based Elliot Shirwo has joined the organization as a principal.

Shirwo brings to Casco more than two decades of relevant experience serving real estate, finance, legal and family office communities. Prior to joining Casco, Shirwo was founder and principal of BridgeCore Capital, a private bridge lender, and held a nine-year career with Bolour Associates, a privately-owned real estate investment, development and finance company, where he oversaw its private mortgage lending business and shared responsibility for the operational and investment activities of its family office.

Previously, Shirwo was general counsel and secretary of Peerless Systems Corp., a publicly traded company, and served as a board member of its foreign subsidiary.  Before Peerless, he was in private legal practice, specializing in real estate, insurance and intellectual property transactions and litigation.

“We welcome Elliot to further strengthen our senior level expertise in capital development, sourcing and executing real estate investments across multiple capital structures, asset classes and geographies,” said managing principal Denny Jacobus. “We have had a decade-long relationship with Elliot, who has a deep understanding of the real estate industry along with the multi-generational needs of family wealth creation and preservation.”

He added that Elliot is “a highly respected and well-known industry leader in the commercial real estate sector throughout the United States, and he will be an invaluable partner in our business.  BridgeCore Capital's operations will be incorporated into Casco as a wholly owned subsidiary, providing Casco with an additional effective origination platform.”

Shirwo explains that “It is a privilege to join Casco and its esteemed team of real estate and investment professionals. I look forward to working closely with the high caliber team they have assembled as we apply deep market insight, operational expertise, sound governance practices, and longstanding sponsor relationships to create a strong, sustainable investment platform.”
