CHARLESTON, SC—Roy Anderson Corp. of Gulfport, MS, has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $88 million to construct a new parking garage at Charleston International Airport here.

The firm, a subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Tutor Perini Corp., will build a new five-story, 1-million-square-foot, 3,000-space, cast-in-place parking garage at the airport. The scope of work is to include a pedestrian walkway, new roadway, landscaping, elevator core/lobby and renovations to the existing walkway/circulation area.

Construction is to begin this month, with substantial completion expected by the fall of 2020. The contract value will be included in the company’s reported fourth quarter 2018 backlog.

Last month, Tutor Perini announced that its subsidiary, Perini Management Services, Inc. was awarded a design-build contract valued at approximately $104 million by the U.S. Air Force to design and construct facilities in support of the Royal Saudi Air Force through a Foreign Military Sales program.

The project was competitively bid through an Air Force Civil Engineer Center multiple award task order contract and is funded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
