Casey Urlacher
LEMONT, IL–Locally-based Englewood Construction has hired Casey Urlacher to join its business development team. Urlacher will hold this position while continuing his work as Mayor of Mettawa, IL.
“As we continue to pursue new client relationships across a variety of commercial real estate sectors, Casey brings a unique set of contacts to the table with his background at the intersection of sports, business and hospitality as well as his involvement in local government,” said Bill Di Santo, president of Englewood.
Urlacher's experience includes playing in the Arena Football League and at Lake Forest College during his collegiate years. Prior to his move into politics in 2013, Urlacher was also co-owner and manager of several restaurant ventures in the Chicago, additionally, he has been involved in commercial real estate development and investment personally and in his role as Mettawa mayor.
“At every stage of my professional life, I've always believed in the importance of cultivating partnerships with the people around me and working to keep those connections strong,” Urlacher said. “Commercial construction is an industry where relationships matter and go a long way in building trust between a general contractor and clients, especially in the initial stages, and so I know my ability to network and maintain great relationships will serve me well at Englewood.”
Di Santo sees a lot of overlap between the professional athletics and the restaurant industry, making Casey's involvement in both a strong selling point for Englewood.
“Casey's involvement in both those areas is a terrific complement to the strong reputation Englewood already has in restaurant construction and development, particularly our expertise working with fine-dining and sports-based concepts such as the Chicago Sports Museum and Harry Caray's 7th Inning Stretch,” Di Santo said. “At the same time, his municipal experience and understanding of public affairs and how they can impact a commercial real estate development project, particularly at the onset, will be especially helpful as we advise prospective and new clients.”
