Vidmob Subleases Chipotle’s Office Space at 126 Fifth Ave.
Chipotle has moved from the New York location as part of consolidating offices, following its decision to relocate company headquarters from Denver, CO to Newport Beach, CA.
NEW YORK CITY—Vidmob has moved from its 6,400-square-foot office at 54 Thompson St. in SoHo to 13,700 square feet at 126 Fifth Ave. in the Flatiron District. The video content creation platform is subleasing the entire third and fourth floors the Chipotle Mexican Grill office. Commercial Observer reported that the asking rent in the building was $65, according to CoStar Group.
In May 2018, Chipotle had announced it was relocating its headquarters from Denver, CO, to Newport Beach, CA. In the six months that followed, it planned to move all employees from the New York and Denver offices, with corporate departments going to Newport Beach and support functions moving to the Shared Services Center in Columbus. Following the transition, Chipotle closed its Denver and New York City offices.
All brokers handling this sublease were from Savills Studley. Scott Bogetti, Sean Hoffman and Christopher Thompson represented VidMob. Nick Zarnin represented Chipotle locally with his Denver-based colleague Greg Bante.
“We secured VidMob a workplace that will help them attract talent and support continued expansion,” says Bogetti. He notes the area is highly desired by creative companies and that the office was fully built, furnished and wired, allowing the tenant to quickly move into the space.
