WAUKEGAN, IL—Astronics Corporation is taking a seven-year, 116,000-square-foot industrial lease at 800 South Northpoint Blvd. in Waukegan, IL. The company designs and manufactures technology for in-flight entertainment systems used in commercial aircraft seatbacks.

Astronics is doubling its square footage, consolidating three of its facilities into the new location. The company is currently located at 340 Ernie Krueger Dr. in Waukegan and also has two facilities in Itasca.

800 South Northpoint is a 363,027-square-foot manufacturing facility located on 37.43 acres.  The fully air-conditioned facility features 24-foot clear heights, 30,000 square feet of office space, and parking for 300 cars. It is also centrally located with access to Routes 120, 137 and 41 and I-94 only minutes away.

“The location of the building is second-to-none,” says Chris Volkert, SIOR, a principal with Colliers | Chicago, who represented Astronics in the lease. “Location combined with attributes such as full A/C, generous office space and plentiful parking, made the facility the ideal choice for our client to expand its Chicago-area operations.”

Volkert also represented the landlord, Venture One, in the deal.
