PHILADELPHIA, PA—STV, provides which engineering, architectural, planning, environmental and construction management services for transportation systems, infrastructure, buildings, energy and other facilities, named John Ponzio senior vice president of STV's national systems practice. The firm says Ponzio's leadership has led to significant growth at the firm.

Ponzio has 20 years of experience within the transit industry, having begun his career at STV as a junior engineer with the firm's systems group. Since then, he has been instrumental in fostering the team's growth from four to its current staff of 130 professionals. Under Ponzio, the system's practice has expanded to include multidisciplinary expertise across a broad spectrum of services for the firm's clients in rail/transit operations, intelligent transportation systems, safety, corrosion control, cathodic protection and security & resilience services.

Based in STV's Philadelphia office, Ponzio will manage the firm's national team of experts to further grow the practice into new areas and continue to focus on providing quality services to its existing clients.

Ponzio holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the International Council on Systems Engineering.
